Course Details
The route takes place mainly over open moorland above Glossop with some tracks, but runners should be confident in following flags over unmarked ground. The route is extensively flagged with extra flags and marshals at key locations where a change of direction is required such as the summit of Glossop Low, shooters path junction, Dog Rock and Lightside top fence.

No pre-entry requirements, some experience of fell running an advantage but the aim of the event is to embrace all comers. The course can be reccied with the exception of the start section through Edge Plantation which is private land.

First aid and marshalling will normally be provided by Glossop Mountain Rescue Team and backed up by the race team who are mostly experienced fell runners from Glossopdale Harriers.

The conditions are assessed on race day and the RO will then advise if there are to be any mandatory minimum kit requirements for the race. Competitors should come prepared to carry jacket, trousers, hat, gloves, compass map and whistle. These are the minimum levels of kit and you the competitor, or the responsible adult in the case of juniors, should ultimately decide whether any additional items of kit should be carried over and above what the Race Organiser asks for. The type and nature of the clothing, hat and gloves will be left to the competitor or responsible adult.
